3-A SSI has maintained a globally recognized Third Party Verification (TPV) program since 2003 and endeavored to cover equipment that spans over 80 different types of equipment standards. The criterion within these documents prescribes CIP (clean in place) and COP (clean out of place) requirements to ensure appropriate cleanability and inspectability of equipment.

3-A SSI Chair Rick Heiman recently announced the appointment of Dr. Curtis Weller to the 3-A SSI Board of Directors. Dr. Weller has served as Head of the Department of Food Science and Technology, and as Director of The Food Processing Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln since July 2016.

Sharif Uddin recently earned accreditation as a Certified Conformance Evaluator (CCE). He brings more than 25 years’ experience working in foods, supplemental vitamins, and consumer products manufacturing facilities.
