Sales of 3-A SSI standards and accepted practices in the first quarter of 2023 continue to reflect strong international demand for 3-A hygienic design criteria. More than half of the document sales were registered to companies outside of the U.S., including the following countries: Austria, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, New Zealand, Peru, Poland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, and United Kingdom.
The largest volume of sales for an individual standard were made for ANSI/3-A 00-01-2018, 3-A Sanitary Standard for General Requirements (also known as the GR), representing about 25% of all sales.
This data tracks with other information maintained by 3-A SSI which shows U.S. holders account for 48% of all authorizations/certificates, and international 52%. Over the past two years, 3-A SSI documents have been purchased by customers in 40 countries around the world.
Bottom line: 3-A SSI design criteria now address a worldwide marketplace for equipment which is applied across a broad spectrum of critical hygienic applications.
