3-A SSI Welcomes New Certified Conformance Evaluator (CCE)

Sharif Uddin recently earned accreditation as a Certified Conformance Evaluator (CCE).  He brings more than 25 years’ experience working in foods, supplemental vitamins, and consumer products manufacturing facilities. He is currently working as Principal Engineer, Process Cleaning for Rockline Industries, Inc, a global manufacturer of wet wipes and coffee filters. He is SME in hygienic design, cleaning, and cleaning validation. He began his career in a dairy facility in Bangladesh after his graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET). He has a master’s degree from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand and a PhD from Kansas State University. His work experience involved process and CIP system designs in milk, yogurt, vitamins, cereals, refried beans, soups, and other foods. Sharif has been involved in the ASTM E55.03 WK98596 committee to develop the standard guide The Science and Risk-Based Design of Clean in Place Clean Friendly Equipment for Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Applications (CbDby Design). He is knowledgeable in sanitary standards and guidelines from3-A, EHEDG and ASME-BPE, and is a certified food scientist (CFS) from the Institute of Food Technology (IFT).

The CCE program is designed to enhance the integrity of 3-A SSI programs by providing the industry with a register of professionals who have the appropriate qualifications, work experience and the demonstrated knowledge for evaluating and verifying equipment fabricated in accordance with 3-A Sanitary Standards, or processing systems manufactured and installed in accordance with 3-A Accepted Practices. The independent inspection programs of 3-A SSI provide assurance of hygienic equipment design and thereby benefits regulatory sanitarians, equipment fabricators, processors, and consumers.
