3-A SSI Briefs Eurasian Delegation

^{3-A SSI Director of Standards and Certification Eric Schweitzer provided a briefing on 3-A SSI and its role in supporting food safety for a delegation of industry representatives from various Eurasian countries participating in the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Special American Business Internship Training (SABIT) Food Processing & Packaging Program. The virtual presentation was made on Oct. 18 during a two-week visit of the representatives to various processing operations in the U.S.}  

^{The participants selected for the SABIT program represented operations for baby food, juices and nectars, fruits and vegetables, juice concentrate, fruits and vegetable purees in countries including Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Georgia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Azerbijan and Kyrgystan.}

^{The summer and fall seasons were active periods for 3-A SSI outreach.}

^{· On October 23-25, 3-A SSI exhibited at Process Expo in Chicago, IL.}

^{· On July 16-19, 3-A SSI participated in the exhibition and program at the IAFP Annual Conference in Toronto.  3-A SSI provided presentations for two sessions at the conference, the CSP Committee Meeting and the joint session ‘Sanitary Design of Automation Equipment’.}

^{· 3-A SSI exhibited at Pack Expo 2023 on Sept. 11-13 in Las Vegas, NV.}
