The first 2025 renewal notice for 3-A licenses and certificates was sent on October 1st. You can renew online using a credit card or via ACH, or by mailing a company check, in US funds, drawn on a US bank account. Renewals must be received by December 31 in order to avoid late fees.
3-A Symbol and Certificates Continue Steady Growth
This graph shows the organic growth in 3-A Symbol authorizations and replacement part certificates over the past 13 years. With one more quarter in 2024, we expect another year of strong positive growth thanks to a large number of new applications and high retention of existing holders.
Three major factors are driving industry demand for hygienic equipment: U.S dairy regulations, the Food Safety Modernization Act, which requires processors to maintain comprehensive documentation of safeguards to reduce or eliminate potential food safety hazards, and customer specifications for a higher level of ‘baseline’ design integrity for the acquisition and installation of equipment across multiple manufacturing locations. These factors and various new audit programs under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) which require documentation of hygienic design of equipment and facilities will contribute to future demand growth.
Worldwide Reach
3-A SSI serves a diverse marketplace of customers around the globe. The geographic reach of 3-A SSI continues to expand beyond the traditional U.S. dairy marketplace. U.S. holders currently account for 48% and international 52% of all current holders.
