Registration
All attendees must register. A fee is required only for the optional education sessions.  No fee is required to register for the 3-A SSI Annual Meeting, committee meetings, and Working Group sessions. The deadline for the discount registration is April 30, 2010. The dress for all events is business casual.

Lodging
Reservations must be made with the Central Reservations Office at (800) 558-3862.  The special rate for 3-A SSI attendees is $99 single/$109 double occupancy, plus local and state tax.  You must indicate the group name 3-A Sanitary Standards, Inc. when you reserve to get the group rate.  Rates cannot be changed at check-in or checkout for guests who fail to identify their affiliation when the reservation is made.

The hotel cutoff date is April 22, 2010.  After the cut-off date, individual rooms for attendees may be reserved on a space and rate availability basis.  There are a limited number of rooms in the 3-A SSI block.  We recommend you book early to confirm your room reservation.

Highlights
Monday, May 17

Certified Conformance Evaluator (CCE) Training & Evaluation is for accredited
CCEs, CCE exam candidates, and representatives of the Committee on Sanitary Practices only.

P3-A Education Program—This is a program of special interest for professionals interested in the development or application of equipment standards for the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). Separate registration and fee required. This fast-moving half-day program will feature:

  • The Mission of P3-A Standards
  • New P3-A Standards in the Marketplace
  • The P3-A Symbol

New Standards Development: Agitated Filter Dryers, Vessels and Agitators, Mills and Classification Equipment, and Process Heat Exchangers.

First Timer’s Reception is expressly for newcomers to get acquainted and learn more about the mission of 3-A SSI.

Tuesday, May 18

2010 Education Program:  3-A and Global Hygienic Design—This program will open with the perspectives of U.S. stakeholders—processors, fabricators and regulatory sanitarians—on the emerging food safety legislative/regulatory environment and the implications for 3-A SSI.  Leading international and U.S. authorities examine the role of 3-A SSI and EHEDG in harmonization activities and other key topics.  Separate registration and fee required.

  • 3-A and Global Hygienic Design—U.S. perspectives from processors, fabricators and regulatory sanitarians. 

  • 3-A and EHEDG: Partnering in Hygienic Design—Knuth Lorenzen (GEA Tuchenhagen), President, EHEDG and F. Tracy Schonrock, Chair, 3-A Steering Committee
